    Claire Stetina Zurbrugg is the Founder of Bellingham Yoga Collective and Co-Founder of Lynden Yoga Collective offering public classes, workshops, retreats and trainings in Bellingham and abroad. Her intent with the spaces she stewards is to offer a heart-full sanctuary where we can gather in community to be in relationship with source wisdom, accessed from inside each one of us.

  • JACQUE SWEET

    Jacque Sweet is a yoga instructor, a mentor, and a director and educator in yoga immersion and teacher training programs at BYC. Her teachings stem from her extensive study with Karen Sprute-Francovich in the Anusara Yoga Methodology. Anusara is a Hatha style of yoga with strong emphasis on alignment starting in the foundation of a pose, a deep connection with our breath and upholding quality of heart while integratively moving.

    Liza Higbee-Robinson is a weaver of movement, breath, and heart themes drawn from the ancient wisdom teachings of Yoga, made relevant to us in the world we inhabit now. She encourages her students to explore through all layers of their aliveness, from the still, spacious depths, to the most mundane and surface level thinking, feeling, and doing. For nearly a decade, Liza has devoted herself to sharing her love of practice with others as an asana instructor, mentor, trainer, and retreat leader.

    Kelly is passionate teacher who holds a deep reverence for the long history and traditions of yoga and the way they continue to offer relevant guidance for our modern lives. Kelly’s class offer a fluid combination of yoga philosophy, dynamic movement, and curiosity about both body and breath. While you can expect strong and challenging flows in Vinyasa classes, Kelly is also deep believer in practices that attune us toward rest and slowing down enough to hear the quiet sound of intuition.

    Kendall is first and foremost a human being who believes deeply in the purpose and meaning found in connection and belonging. They have a deep dedication to the practice of compassion and accountability made possible through community healing. Kendall is a Yoga and Mindfulness teacher, meditator, and trauma-conscious facilitator. Their approach is rooted in many years of practicing Zen meditation, Yin Yoga, and personal work in somatic therapy modalities including internal family systems, attachment theory, and embodied healing.

    Susan is an Anusara-Inspired™ Yoga Teacher has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 30 years. She is also a Certified Engaged Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator. She studied many different types of yoga before she discovered Anusara Yoga and believes that Anusara, with its heart-lifting philosophy of seeing the good in everything, allows yoga to be more accessible and enjoyable for beginners as well as long-time students.

    Jenna believes yoga is a powerful tool with which we can meet ourselves and learn to listen to our own bodies. Her classes create a space in which students are encouraged to follow their own rhythms and callings and to deepen their connection with their intuition. She strives to offer trauma-informed and inclusive practices without shying away from the alchemy of moving through challenge.

  • JONATHAN MEADER

    Jonathan is a passionate yoga teacher with decades of experience in movement and somatic practices. He is a former professional dancer and choreographer, born on the island of Oahu and raised in Hawaii, among a variety of locations along the West Coast. Growing up, Jonathan was instilled with a deep connection to the natural world. He has sought throughout his life to understand and better integrate himself as a small part of this greater community. He sees the practice of yoga as direct access to this connection.

  • BRANDIS GUNDERSON

    Brandis began practicing as a Physical Therapist 19 years ago and always felt that something was missing in the traditional healthcare model. After training as a Professional Yoga Therapist and relieving her own chronic pain she knew she had found the missing link. By combining principles of Physical Therapy and Yoga Therapy with her training in Functional Nutrition, she found that addressing a person as a whole, versus only treating their diagnosis, helped clients get back to the life they loved.

    Ever since Mackenzie discovered her yoga practice 14 years ago, she has been inspired by the ways this practice can translate to and reflect life off the mat. Through her teaching, she invites students to lean into their edges to build strength and resilience while also integrating ease and gentleness to experience deep nourishment on all levels.

    Dani brings a unique mix of movement and meditation as well as a contagious energy to her classes. Dani's mission is to empower people to feel safe and at home in their bodies while also celebrating their own unique gifts and selves.

    Jen loves to teach with devotion to enliven creativity. Her vinyasa classes incorporate Sanskrit chanting, functional asana sequencing, and practical application of yoga philosophy. Her yin classes live at the confluence of modern day neuroscience and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She holds a deep reverence for Yoga as an Indian and South Asian practice with deep cultural traditions. In Jen's classes, one can expect a clear theme, accessible sequence, and opportunity for challenge—delivered with care and warmth.

  • KENNA KUHN

    Kenna’s intention is to provide accessible and genuine yoga experiences that serve as a lens for self study. As such, she teaches asana in the context of all limbs of yoga with an emphasis on empowerment and inquisition. She encourages students to hold space for themselves in each facet of the practice, be that intensity, play, or rest. Kenna has taught yoga throughout the Northwest and infuses her classes with place-based reverence and knowledge.

    Cat has been on the yogic path for over 35 years, and has been offering her wisdom and experience in Bellingham since 2002. She apprenticed with Judith Lasater, and incorporates the riches of Iyengar, Prajna and Anusara traditions into her teaching. In her classes and workshops, she encourages students to open to the subtle body, often weaving poetry, yogic and Buddhist philosophy into the movement and breath practices.

  • OLIVER RAJSBAUM

    Through community, movement, mindfulness, and lightheartedness, Oliver seeks to provide a yoga experience intended to open our communication with our body, mind, and heart. Oliver grew up in Mexico City and began traveling the world in 2019, where he had his first encounter with yoga. Since then, he has been passionate about the practice of yoga and meditation.

    Adrianna has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and set out to showcase larger bodies in a teaching specific yogic space. Using a strength based practice, her goal is to bring representation and agency to students with bodies who may need or benefit from pose alternatives, prop usage or other modifications based on unique anatomical constraints and differences.
