Summer Deck Yoga
Experience the beauty of Bellingham Bay while practicing yoga outside on our deck this summer! Outdoor yoga classes are scheduled to start on July 1st and will be offered daily on a month-to-month basis, weather permitting. In addition to regular outdoor yoga classes, we also offer special events on the deck throughout the summer! What To Expect
Connected to our main studio on the 3rd floor of the Granary Building, our southwest-facing deck provides panoramic views of Bellingham Bay and the surrounding islands, making for the perfect spot to roll out your mat and you soak in the long, light-filled days of summer! As Bellingham's only yoga studio with a dedicated outdoor space, our deck offers plenty of room to stretch, unwind, and find your flow. All deck classes are thoughtfully guided by our talented instructors in an uncovered, open-air space, and enhanced by our high-quality sound system. Throughout the summer months, our outdoor class schedule will rotate based on the most optimal conditions of the season, offering access to a diverse range of class styles for all levels. Keep in mind that our deck is fully open to the elements, so be sure to come prepared for variable conditions, including direct sun and potential wind exposure.
Deck Policies
To ensure alignment with the most favorable conditions of the summer season, classes will follow a rotating schedule on a month-to-month basis. Stay updated on which classes will take place out on the deck or indoors by regularly checking our online schedule.
At the start of the deck season, the majority of our midday classes will be held outside. Then as the days grow warmer throughout the summer, early morning and evening classes will transition to outdoors, while midday classes will move back indoors to utilize our in-studio temperature control systems.
In the event of inclement weather, the scheduled outdoor class will be moved indoors. We will do our best to provide advance notice via email, but we cannot guarantee notice for last minute weather changes.
Come prepared! We recommend bringing a water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, and a light jacket.
When you arrive for your outdoor class on the deck, enter the studio as usual and check in at the front desk, then proceed through the studio to the door at the end of the hall to enter the deck.
