Living Bhakti: Devotional Yoga for Artful Living
with Jen Lo
April 24 - May 18, 2025
Weekly on Thursdays + (2) Weekend Intensives
This spring, join Jen Lo for Living Bhakti — a month-long journey into the heart of Bhakti Yoga, where devotion meets daily practice. Through an in-depth exploration of Yoga philosophy, Sanskrit chanting, and sacred art, this program invites you to weave the teachings of Bhakti into everyday life. Together, you’ll dive into the wisdom of the 5 Kleshas, experience the vibrational power of mantra and chanting, and create your own 108-beaded meditation japamala as a reflection of your practice. Along the way, you’ll deepen your understanding through self-study (svadhyaya) and connection with a supportive cohort whose shared energy enriches the experience. By the end of the immersion, you’ll carry forward the tools, insights, and devotion to sustain your practice in meaningful ways.
What’s Included in Our Time Together
• Yoga Philosophy •
Dive into the Five Kleshas, ancient teachings that illuminate the roots of human suffering, and explore practical tools to work through these challenges with clarity and purpose.
• Chanting •
Experience the transformative power of sacred mantra as you learn traditional Sanskrit chants, including Mahamrityunjaya, Asatoma, and Purnamadah, to cultivate focus and inner harmony.
• Sacred Art •
Craft your own 108-bead meditation mala (japamala), using this hands-on practice as a meditative act of devotion. All materials are included to support your creative journey.
Who is This For?
This program is for dedicated students and yoga teachers who are curious about how philosophy can "work" in their lives and who want to deepen their practice through self-inquiry, critical thinking, and meaningful discussion. It’s for those ready to explore the relationship between practice and self, build community through the study of Yoga, and commit to a sincere interest in decolonizing yoga through intentional study and right action. Please note, this immersion is not intended for those seeking one-on-one training or harmonium lessons.
There are a total of 30 CEUs available for existing yoga teachers to apply toward BYC’s 300-Hr Advanced Yoga Studies Program or Yoga Alliance continuing education hours.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Registration for all events, including trainings and immersion workshops, is non-refundable. However, if you cannot attend, you may transfer your spot to another person by contacting us via phone, email, or in person.
We understand that plans can change, but our no-refund policy helps us maintain the quality and sustainability of our offerings. Organizing events requires significant time, effort, and resources from both the studio and our teachers. In addition, many of our trainings & workshops have limited spacing — last-minute cancellations not only prevent others from attending, but also affect the viability of the event for our dedicated instructors. As a small, local business, your understanding and cooperation not only helps us support our teachers, but also allows us to continue providing enriching experiences for our community!
